What we collect and why

When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and the message you write. We use these to reply to you and to deal with whatever you have asked about. The message is stored on this website and emailed to us so we can answer it. We keep it until we delete it.

The website has no other forms. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.

Who looks after the website

The website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design Ltd, who process the details above on our behalf and deliver our email. They act on our instructions and do not use your details for their own purposes.

Cookies

The website sets a session cookie and a security cookie that every visitor needs for the site to work, for example to protect the contact form. They do not identify you and they are not used to track you.

Our own visitor counts are cookieless: they tell us how many people visited and which pages they looked at, without a cookie and without identifying anyone.

If we switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags in future, a banner will ask you first. Nothing is set until you accept, and your answer is remembered in your browser so you are not asked again.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, to have them corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use them. To do any of these, email us at durhamox@hotmail.co.uk. If you are not happy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We may change this policy from time to time. The date at the top tells you when it was last updated.
